The tag guidepost_shape=* can be used to specify the type of information=guidepost in terms of how it is built.

This kind of information could be useful for rendering guideposts to improve navigation instructions. Guideposts with guidepost_shape=board are often present at larger intersections where each incoming way has its own guidepost. In this case, the contents of all guideposts leading to the same intersection should match. Board guideposts also tend to be some distance before the relevant intersection and direction=* can be used to indicate which direction the written side of the guidepost is facing.
